Overview
Tucked away in the heart of the pretty Oxfordshire village of Bloxham, Little Bennetts is a charming four bedroom hideaway with a glorious garden brimming with lilac trees, roses and hollyhocks. Sleeping up to seven adults and four children, this rural retreat has been entirely renovated by its owners, fuelled by their passion for interiors, and is now an enchanting family home. Constructed from local ironstone and topped with a tiled roof, this striking escape is Grade II listed.
Kitchen, Living & Dining Areas
Inside, expect a smorgasbord of bold yet carefully curated interiors, playful wallpaper prints and pops of easy-on-the-eye colour palettes. Cosy and welcoming yet ultra stylish and design-conscious, Little Bennetts will have you unpacking your bags and chilling your aperitif in the fridge in no time.
Downstairs you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, a separate living room and snug, a dining room, and a downstairs loo. Whether it’s the soothing sky-blue snug room with its hanging decorative ores, the vibrant living space’s original features, viridescent walls and plush velvet furnishings, or the one-of-a-kind reclaimed metal table (seating eight) taking centre stage in the dining room – you are bound to leave just a little piece of your heart at Little Bennetts.
The Bedrooms
Upstairs and spread across two floors you’ll find five beautiful bedrooms; two with super-king size beds and en-suite shower rooms, two single rooms (one can be made into a double on request), and one kids’ room with two sets of poppy-red bunkbeds sleeping four. You’ll also find an impressive family bathroom with a separate bath and shower.
Garden
Outside you’ll find your own very mini English garden oasis, brimming with everything from lilac, peonies and foxgloves to roses, hollyhocks and wisteria. At the bottom of the garden you’ll find an eggshell-blue dining set up for six.
Dogs
One dog is welcome for an additional cost of £45. Kindly note that dogs are not allowed in any of the bedrooms or on any of the furniture, and should not be left unattended at the property.
Welcome Hamper
A locally sourced welcome hamper will be waiting for you on arrival including fresh sourdough, butter, eggs, milk and a bottle of bubbles.
Please note that due to the old historic cottage features some of the door heights are low and the stairway may not be suitable for someone with mobility issues.
