Overview
Located in the heart of the village of Bloxham, The Old Dairy is a beautiful country manor house dating back to the 15th century. With a convenient Cotswolds village location and secluded wrap-around gardens with a pool, this five bedroom home offers guests the best of both worlds.
Perfect for extended family gatherings or group getaways, The Old Dairy has been finished to a very high standard with a style that balances traditional features with contemporary interiors.
Ground Floor
Through the ornate front door is a grand vaulted hallway, which opens up onto the large, sociable and fully equipped kitchen, catering brilliantly to large groups with two fridges, one freezer, two dishwashers, a SMEG oven, a five gas hob and a range of quality pots and pans. Just off the kitchen is a dining room with original flag stone floors and comfortably seating up to 10 guests. There are three living spaces, a sitting room with a piano, a snug with open fire and lots kids games, a games/chill-out room with sofas and table football table, and a ping-pong table in the basement.
First Floor
The upstairs features an impressive master bedroom with a four poster emperor-size bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a roll top bathtub. The bathroom also has a separate walk-in rain shower, heated stone floors, a dressing room and a lavish double sink set up.
The second super-king bedroom is equally impressive, with its cathedral ceiling, original beams and freestanding roll top bathtub. There are two further bedrooms; one twin and one king, both equally stylish and dotted with vintage furniture pieces. The last bedroom is ideal for kids, with a single bed and separate toddler bed suitable for a 2 – 6 year old. There’s also space in this room for a travel cot if needed. These rooms share a large family bathroom with a shower and roll top bathtub.
Outside
The beautifully kept gardens (pruned twice a week by a gardener) wrap right around the house forming several outdoor ‘rooms’. The glorious swimming pool and surrounding sun loungers sit secluded at the back of the house. Open and heated from late May to September (weather conditions permitting), the pool provides endless fun for all the family.
You’ll also find a BBQ and an outdoor pizza oven located just outside the kitchen, so you can watch little ones play safely in the pool whilst you enjoy your lunch from the idyllic outdoor dining set up, seating up to 10 people. And there’s a large parasol for those extra balmy days.
The lawn at the front is home to the children’s wooden climbing frame with plenty of surrounding space to play, with a den, swing, slide and spring-free trampoline.
