milovaig house

Sleeps 4
2 Bedrooms
From £205 per night

Milovaig House is a renovated 19th century crofter’s house perched on the cliffs of the Isle of Skye.

The house has been lovingly restored to take advantage of the breathtaking sea loch views. With minimalist Nordic interiors that complement the building’s heritage, Milovaig House is a serene retreat where it’s all too easy to sit, watch, and listen to the ever-changing surrounding landscape.

The stunning views of Loch Pooltiel can be seen from every room in the house and on one side are Skye’s tallest sea cliffs with the outer Hebrides on the horizon. Eagle-eyed guests will spot whales, dolphins, seals and sea eagles all from the house and the absence of light pollution makes way for a mesmerising starry night sky. A highlight of Milovaig House are the Northern Lights that often make an appearance during the winter months.

Kitchen, Living & Dining Areas

Downstairs, the sun room offers floor-to-ceiling glass doors, perfect for relaxing by the log burner and watching the incredible landscape in front of you. There is a further snug area with TV and a sofa bed that can sleep two small children or one adult on request. Off the sun room is the dining room, with a double-sided log burner, which can comfortably seat six. The sleek kitchen has everything you need to cook up the catch of the day from the local fishermen.

The Bedrooms

Upstairs is one King size room and a twin/super-King room with more stunning views, ensuring a peaceful night with just the ocean as a soundtrack. The bathroom features a roll top bathtub and separate shower and is shared between the two bedrooms.

Outside

A garden surrounds the house and opens up to the wild landscape around. The Swedish-style wood-burning hot tub, fire pit and decking is an amazing addition to this unique property.

Milovaig House sits on working croft land, so expect the farmer to bring his sheep most days.
