Overview

This restored four bedroom Edwardian farmhouse sits at the heart of a small hinterland hamlet on the edge of a Woodland Trust in South Devon. Swaddled by acres of nature trails, bluebell woods and secluded wild swimming spots, and only a short 15 minute drive from the wild sandy beaches of Bantham and the bustling shores of Salcombe, Bluebell Farm is a spectacular hideaway to celebrate and unwind in.

Kitchen, Living & Dining Areas

The interiors at Bluebell Farm are stylish and relaxed, with plenty of space for entertaining both inside and out. Expect walls hung with original artwork by local artists, and furnishings sourced from antique markets along with repurposed feature pieces and treasured finds from the owners’ travels.

There’s a fully equipped kitchen with access to an idyllic outdoor courtyard, a dining room seating up to eight people, and a characterful sitting room with a wood burner, games cupboard, piano and film projector. There is also a separate study and snug room with a writing desk and a second log burner.

On this floor you’ll also find a boot room and a utility room with a downstairs loo. There is underfloor heating throughout.

The Bedrooms

There are four double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and a freestanding tub in the room. One of the rooms can be made into a twin on request, and one of them has an en-suite. There is also a large family bathroom with a separate shower and freestanding bath tub.

Outside

The alfresco areas at Bluebell Farm are where this escape really sings. There are French doors from the kitchen leading out to a pretty courtyard area with an outdoor table and chairs underneath a fig tree overlooking the walled garden.

Opposite the house and across a little lane, you also have access to a private paddock (great for family games) and stables with more outdoor furniture, a BBQ and fire pit – the perfect set up for starry summer evenings. The stable can be used as a studio for creatives (it comes equipped with an easel), yoga, or even a kids’ revision den.

Dogs

Two dogs are welcome at Bluebell Farm for an additional fee of £45 per dog. Kindly note that dogs are not allowed upstairs or on any of the furniture, and should not be left unattended at the property.

Welcome Hamper

A welcome hamper will be waiting for you on arrival filled with lots of local goodies including a bottle of Plymouth Gin, Luscombe Devon tonic, and Heron Valley apple juice.
