Camellia Cottage

Sleeps 8
4 Bedrooms
From £420 per night

Overview

Nestled among the idyllic nature reserves of Redmoor, a charming hamlet just 15 minutes from Fowey and Cornwall’s breathtaking south-coast beaches, Camellia Cottage is a warm, welcoming home with character to spare. Sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms, it offers visitors a rustic, farmhouse-style kitchen, al-fresco dining for the summer months, and even a wood-fired hot tub.

Kitchen, Living & Dining Areas

Combining original features with contemporary furnishings and a pretty pastel palette, Camellia Cottage is impeccably styled throughout. The peaceful living room offers you multiple sitting areas to settle in with a cup of tea and a good book (and the added bonus of a wood burner for the colder months). The kitchen has a separate dining area – just the thing for big family meals or catch ups with groups of old friends.

The Bedrooms

There are four bedrooms in total, one on the ground floor and three on the first. Three of the rooms have king-size beds, and one offers two twins. Pops of colour and plenty of natural light give each one its own distinct charm. Two of the king-size bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, while the family bathroom has a shower and a roll-top bath.

Outside

Step into the garden and you’ll find a terraced dining area, a comfy sofa set, a BBQ, and the wood-fired hot tub. For younger visitors, the play area is sure to be a hit, with a badminton net, trampoline and goal posts setting you in good stead for a summer sports tournament.

Dogs

Dogs are allowed at this escape for an extra fee of £45.

About Redmoor

Camellia is surrounded by farmland and an abundance of nature – expect to see and hear owls, deer, horses and honey bees as you roam around the area. The property is conveniently located between the quaint little village of Lostwithiel and the bustling town of Bodmin.

Just a two-minute drive or short, pleasant stroll away, you’ll reach the village of Lanlivery, where you’ll find a cheerful village pub, farm shop, brewery-distillery, and an historic church where you can join The Saints’ Way footpath, running from Padstow to Fowey. You’re in just the right spot to access the beaches of both the south and north coasts, with Readymoney Cove and Polkerris just a 15-minute drive away, while charming Fowey is also a 15-minute drive away.

How To Get There

Lostwithiel train station is a 10-minute drive, with trains going into London Paddington via Exeter. Newquay Airport is 30 minutes away with good links to London and northern England, as well as further afield.

There is plenty to explore on foot but we recommend having a car to get the most out of the local area and surroundings.

Parking

There is a driveway with space for four cars.
