Mollie’s Cottage is a three bedroom thatched escape in a golden-hued village on the edge of the Cotswolds, just half an hour from Oxford. With thoughtfully sourced interiors and a pretty, peaceful garden, this thatched fairytale cottage is designed for those looking to switch off and spend time together. Surrounded by a patchwork of rolling countryside and prized country pubs, Mollie’s has everything you need for a rural retreat with friends or family.
Kitchen, Living & Dining Areas
The interiors at Mollie’s Cottage have been thoughtfully chosen to ensure your shoulders drop from the moment you walk through the door. Relaxed, pared back and effortlessly stylish, this escape both welcomes and inspires with its original features and antique furnishings.
From the living space you’ll find a separate cosy snug room to your right, and an open-plan dining room and farmhouse-style kitchen to your left. Expect open brick walls, original features and warm buttery hues throughout.
The Bedrooms
Original beams, colourful quilts, playful prints and rattan lamp shades ensure each room at Mollie’s offers an element of surprise and delight. You’ll find three double rooms, one en-suite shower room and a family bathroom with both a shower and a bath.
Outside
The garden at the retreat is perfect pruned with Alice-in-Wonderland hedgerows and candy-floss garden roses hanging from the honey-hued stone walls. With a large well-kept lawn and blossoming flower beds, the garden is a peaceful spot for unwinding and soaking up the sunshine.

No dogs are allowed at this escape.

About Buckland, Oxfordshire
The small peaceful village of Buckland sits within the Vale of White Horse district in Oxfordshire, just on the edge of the Cotswolds. Expect rolling hills, cosy gastropubs (including a popular local pub in the village) and access to lots of quintessential Cotswolds spots. Plus, Oxford is only half an hour away and you’re only a stone’s throw from the river walks of the Thames.
How To Get There
Buckland is just off the A420 Oxford to Swindon road, sitting just outside Farringdon and half an hour from Oxford. Escape from London in under two hours, and it’s only an hour or so for those coming from Bath and Bristol.
The nearest train station is Oxford.
