Overview

Perched by the side of a picture-perfect fishing lake is hot off the press hideaway, Hyggee House. This is a real showstopper of a property with beautiful natural cladding comparable to that of a luxury alpine lodge and striking floor to ceiling sliding glass doors to flaunt those jaw-dropping lake views. The interiors are modern and luxurious, with impressive light features, walls hung with expertly curated artwork and underfloor heating throughout.

The whole property has been designed with luxury in mind whilst at the same time paying homage to the natural world and countryside surroundings. Each of the 4 contemporary bedrooms overlook the lake and the wrap-around terrace is dotted with seating spots that allow you to chase the sun as it circles around the property throughout the day. Whether it’s for pure relaxation or a spoiling celebratory trip, Hyggee House has everything you need and more for a one-of-a-kind lakeside stay.

First Floor

Entrance to the house is over an impressive wooden footbridge leading into the entrance hall where the ultra-luxe chalet feel continues to simmer throughout the property. The hallway immediately opens onto an expansive open plan living space with vast, sweeping views across the crystal clear lake and vibrant green house plants at every turn. It’s a fantastic space for entertaining, both visually and practically.

On one side you have the sitting area dressed in cosy, cabin-chic furnishings. Think plush velvet cushions and fancy fur throws centred around a statement log burner. Then on the other side you have a beautifully crafted, high-spec kitchen that allows you to cook (or be cooked for) whilst socialising with the rest of your party. The large dining table takes centre stage in the middle of the room, in front of the vast glass doors that open up onto the terrace.

For cosy film nights or a quieter space to settle with a book, you’ll find a further snug room off the main living area. Lastly, there’s the Master Bedroom, finished to a luxury boutique hotel standard with its spacious walk-in wardrobe, super-king size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a dazzling copper roll top bathtub.

Ground Floor

The remaining 3 bedrooms lie downstairs, each beautifully designed down to every last detail and all still offering lakeside views with terrace access. Bedroom 2 has its own en-suite shower room, whilst bedrooms 3 and 4 share a shower room opposite. There is also a utility room on this floor.

Outside

You could say Hyggee House has been designed to bring the outside in, or vice versa. All the floor to ceiling glass doors lead out onto the wrap-around wooden decked terrace that hugs the house and acts as a rotating sun trap. The idyllic lakeside setting is enveloped in Wiltshire Downs woodland and is what makes Hyggee House the perfect secluded oasis to unwind in.

Dogs

Furry friends should be left behind for this trip and are not allowed at Hyggee House.
