Overview
Set within 3,000 acres of private parkland, The Park House is a secluded grade II listed ham-stone hideaway designed for slow gatherings and countryside escapes. Filled with original features and surrounded by a private wraparound garden, it offers generous living spaces, a beautifully appointed kitchen, a wood-fired hot tub and an impressive children’s climbing frame. With seven bedrooms across the main house and converted Cowshed, sleeping up to 16 guests, it’s an ideal multi-generational retreat for family celebrations and restorative time away with friends.
Kitchen, Living & Dining Areas
The heart of the house is the light-filled garden room, overlooking the private gardens and centred around a generous 16-seater dining table made for long lunches and late nights. The fully equipped open-plan kitchen and living space combines contemporary furnishings with original details, including oak beams and a large fireplace. A second sitting room offers a quieter space to retreat, perfect for children or relaxing away from the main gathering space.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
The Park House sleeps up to 16 guests across seven thoughtfully arranged bedrooms in the main house and neighbouring Cowshed.
Main House: Four bedrooms include a principal suite with a super-king sleigh bed and en-suite, a flexible super-king/twin with en-suite, a further super-king/twin room, and a bunk room sleeping up to three guests. The latter two share a family bathroom.
The Cowshed: Just a few steps from the main house, the converted Cowshed offers three additional bedrooms: a super-king/twin with en-suite, a second super-king/twin room, and a bunk room sleeping up to three guests. The latter two share a family bathroom.
Outside
The impressive gardens have a variety of interesting plants and trees, and the owners encourage you to pick the fresh fruit from the apple, pear and plum trees and wild blackberries can be found aplenty in the hedgerows nearby. There is a large terrace with outdoor dining table, wood-fired hot tub and children’s climbing frame.
Dogs
The Park House is happy to accept two dogs for a fee of £50 per dog. We kindly ask that your dog is never left unattended, and does not go on any of the furniture or upstairs.
Welcome Hamper
A welcome hamper of local goodies will be waiting for you on arrival including milk, biscuits and a homemade cake.
