A lovingly designed, sprawling family home, Hurn House is a truly special addition to the Sand & Stone portfolio. It’s set in one of Norfolk’s prettiest villages, with a beach just 15 minutes walk away and almost every pub within a 10-mile radius serving up top-tier gastro-level food. The house has been tastefully finished, with original beams and a stable-style door complementing the contemporary interiors. With six bedrooms set across the main house and separate annex, there’s plenty of space for families or groups of friends looking for an unforgettable retreat by the coast.
Kitchen, Living & Dining Areas
The open-plan living room, dining room and kitchen is the main hub of the home, complete with high ceilings, original beams, and a separate mezzanine reached by a spiral staircase, where you can get comfy on the sofas in front of the TV. Countless floor-to-ceiling glass doors let the light stream in from all angles, highlighting the property’s thoughtful features.
The Bedrooms
There are three bedrooms on the ground floor. The main bedroom could be better described as a suite, with a Super-King bed, ample storage, a separate dressing room, and a large en-suite bathroom complete with a generous free-standing tub. Bedroom two has a Super-Kind bed and en-suite bathroom, while bedroom three has a double bed and doors that open directly onto the peaceful back garden.
There are two further bedrooms upstairs, flanked by a lively terracotta staircase. Bedroom four has a double bed and a separate bathroom just across the hall. The fifth bedroom has two twin beds with additional trundle beds under each, ideally suited for younger guests, and an en-suite shower room.
A separate annex houses the sixth bedroom: a double with an en-suite bathroom, kitchenette and small living area. Set above the archway, it’s accessed by its own private set of stairs.
Outside
Enjoy your morning coffee on the peaceful front patio with the sounds of the sea in the distance and, most likely, a visit from a couple of muntjac deer that frequent the garden and surrounding fields. Come lunchtime, there’s a spacious dining table set up for long, al-fresco meals, then, as day turns to evening, the manicured patio garden in the back provides the perfect setting for aperitivo and starlit dinners. End the night around the firepit, and marvel at the tranquility of your surroundings.
Dogs
Two dogs are welcome at Hurn House for an additional fee of £40 per dog. Kindly note that dogs are not allowed upstairs, in bedrooms, or on any of the furniture, and should not be left unattended at the property.
