Deep in its colour palette and spacious in its design, The Stables is a luxury barn in Bibury, the Cotswolds, that sleeps 8 and makes the perfect countryside escape for a family or a get together with your favourite folk. Adjoined to neighbouring Bull Pen, The Stables provides a quirky yet luxury hideaway for large groups.

Kitchen, Living & Dining Areas

The wonderfully dramatic dining area makes for the ideal spot to host a dinner party alongside the large kitchen island which sits beneath hanging lights. The Stables is very much an artist’s paradise with walls adorned with artwork and photography that complement the greys and creams of the interior décor.

The sitting room boasts a log burner inviting you in for a cosy afternoon with a glass of red. Downstairs you will also find one of the four super-king en-suite bedrooms. You’ll also find a downstairs loo on this floor.

The Bedrooms

Light plays a huge part in The Stables with many skylights highlighting the luxurious feel and finishing touches throughout the super-king bedrooms. Each room has a uniquely designed bathroom so make sure to check them all out during your stay (two of which have a bath). The master bedroom has a tub in the room and two of the bedrooms can be made into twins on request. The devil is in the detail at The Stables with dark beams above your head and exposed brick under your feet.

Dogs

The Stables is happy to accept up to two dogs for a fee of £50 per dog. We kindly ask that dogs are never left unattended, and do not go on any of the furniture or in bedrooms.

About Bibury, The Cotswolds

Known for its honey-hued stone and pretty chocolate-box cottages, Bibury is home to one of the most photographed streets in the whole of the Cotswolds; the National Trust protected, Arlington Row. Crowned by William Morris as ‘the most beautiful village in the Cotswolds’, it’s safe to say that this iconic countryside destination will not disappoint.

Expect pretty pastoral scenes at every turn (the River Coln runs through the village), a popular village pub and a handful of historic sights to discover. You can explore the nearby towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, Stroud and more, plus the classic Cotswolds Lavender Farm is only a short drive away.

How To Get There

The Stables sits just outside the village of Bibury, located between Cirencester and Burford (about a 15-minute drive from each). We recommend travelling to the Cotswolds by car, so you can explore the surrounding area. There is private parking and an electric vehicle charging point available upon request.

The closest train station is at Kemble (roughly a 25-minute drive away), with regular trains running from London and other major cities. The train from London Paddington takes approximately one and a half hours.
