Overview
One of our most unique escapes yet, this old grain silo has been entirely renovated into a one-bedroom cabin for two. Tucked away on Bonington Farm, with three other one-of-a-kind hideaways, this is a magical pocket of Nottinghamshire countryside where the rest of the world feels far, far away (in the best possible way).
Kitchen, Living & Dining Areas
It’s hard to believe you are actually inside a grain silo once you step through the door and into the incredibly stylish, open-plan living space. The fully-equipped kitchen wraps around one side of the space, and in the centre sits the cosy living area a velvet, chocolate-brown sofa, jute rug, smart TV and a log burner. Perfect for hunkering down, switching off and cosying up. We also love the glossy wooden floorboards throughout, and it’s a bonus that they’re fitted with underfloor heating.
The Bedroom & Bathroom
The mezzanine bedroom offers far-reaching country views, a king-size bed and playful framed prints. Inside the bathroom you’ll find a walk-in rainfall shower, decked out with Aesop products.
Outside
Enjoy your morning coffee or evening sundowner outside at the table and chairs for two, overlooking the surrounding rolling fields.
Extra Experiences
Watch films together in the private cinema house and enjoy dreamy curated on-site experiences, including in-house spa treatments, yoga sessions, private catering, and pizza kits. Prices on request.
Welcome Hamper
A welcome hamper will be ready and waiting for you on arrival filled with local goodies.
Dogs
Up to two dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead around the farm. They should also be kept downstairs and off furniture.

The Surroundings
Bonnington Farm sits quietly on the edge of the village of Sutton Bonington, tucked between Nottingham and Derby, yet feeling a world away from both. Getting here is simple — a train to East Midlands Parkway from St Pancras, then a short 10-minute taxi ride. Once you arrive, it’s all open countryside, riverside paths and miles of walking routes, with only horses for neighbours.
In the village itself, you’ll find a couple of pubs and a monthly famers’ market. If you do feel like venturing a little further, spots like Loughborough, the walking trails of Charnwood Forest, and waterside stretches around the River Soar are all within easy reach – though more often than not, you’ll find everything you need right here.
