the tree house

The Cotswolds
Sleeps 2 From £275 per night

Nestled in the grounds of a 17th-century Manor House overlooking a secluded valley lies The Tree House  – a real life tree house perched in the trees overlooking beautiful, natural parkland. Our most unique bolthole yet, The Tree House is a truly exceptional space handcrafted in oak and cedar by artisan carpenters. This stylish hideaway sleeps 2 and is spread across two floors. Located near The Coach House, The Tree House can be booked independently for 2 or together with The Coach House for a party of 4.

A flight of wooden steps leads up to a covered porch on the spacious wrap around deck. As you enter the cosy, splendid cabin through the hand-carved oak front door you’ll discover the remarkable craftsmanship and feel the warmth of the wood in every nook and cranny.

In the open-plan sitting room, light up the log burner before settling down on the luxurious sofa to enjoy a captivating view of the enchanting valley below or catch up on films and box sets on the cool Samsung ‘The Frame’ 55″ TV that doubles as artwork when not in use. Tri-fold doors allow the space to be open or closed and are fitted with blackout blinds for privacy if needed.

Throw open the doors to revel in the natural soundtrack provided by the resident song birds and owls – or hunker down to enjoy your favourite tunes via the Bluetooth speaker system. The fully equipped stainless-steel and granite kitchen (with fridge, dishwasher, oven and induction hob) and dining area provide everything you need for a self-catered escape.

Downstairs also features a spectacular bathroom, with a freestanding bath positioned just in front of bi-fold doors, allowing you to bathe in the heart of nature, with the added benefit of remote-control blinds for privacy. There is a separate walk-in shower and double vanity unit.

In the vaulted upper level of The Tree House, you’ll discover a very special bedroom. Located on a mezzanine floor accessed by a handcarved spiral staircase that wraps around a tree trunk, the room has a King size bed positioned to enjoy views of the surrounding treetops through the triangular window. With Lutron mood lighting throughout and pure French linen bedding, you’ll certainly enjoy a luxurious and comfortable sleep at The Tree House.

An expansive oak deck wraps around The Tree House, opening up the space to the surrounding countryside. There is an inviting chaise longue sofa, gas BBQ and atmospheric lighting to bring a mellow glow to dark evenings. If you’re feeling brave, the al fresco shower on the deck provides the opportunity to cool off or warm up after a bracing walk or exploring the grounds of the private estate.

The Tree House guests have access to the wider grounds of the private estate, including the sundowner deck and fire pit overlooking the pond. Circular walks on footpaths that lead into the valley and surrounding countryside can be started directly from the grounds.

Unfortunately, The Tree House is not suitable for toddlers or young children and we are  unable to provide a cot or highchair.

The Tree House is happy to accept one small dog for a fee of £40 per dog. We kindly ask that your dog is never left unattended, does not go upstairs or on any of the furniture and is kept on a lead in the inner lawned area.

When booking please let us know what breed your dog is, and whether it is male/female and neutered or not.

This property does not allow children.
