Kitchen, Living & Dining Areas

Rustic character meets modern design at Daisy’s Stable, with contemporary furnishings sitting beautifully alongside original features. The smart kitchen has tasteful wooden countertops and a large farmhouse sink, while the living area’s cosy charm is given a sense of extra space thanks to the high ceilings and beautiful beams. There’s a small dining area – perfect for romantic meals for two.

The Bedroom & Bathroom

The bedroom sits on the upper mezzanine level and is the epitome of comfortable cosiness. Beautiful bedding and original beams create a calm haven-like space. The bathroom is arguably the showstopper feature of the whole property, with an emperor soaking tub and a sleek wet room – a space with spa-like zen.

Outside

Enjoy all the benefits of being part of a lovingly restored, idyllic 10-acre estate, with a weather-proof, heated swimming pool and communal fire pit available for guests to use, as well as your own hot tub on Daisy’s Stable’s private terrace. With ducks, deer and chickens roaming around the grounds freely, you’ll truly feel that you’ve stepped into the pages of a storybook, reconnecting with nature and fully switching off from normal life.

The Surroundings

Daisy’s Stable is located in the grounds of a family estate in Westhall village, 10 minutes’ drive to the pretty market town of Halesworth, where you can grab brunch and coffee at the Black Dog Deli and browse the independent bookshops, charity shops and boutiques. Get to the coast in just 15 minutes with nearby Dunwich Beach, a quiet, dog-friendly pebble beach that’s perfect for a sea dip and fish and chips. The surrounding heathland and woodland trails are great for walking, wildlife spotting, and fresh air.

How To Get There

We recommend travelling by car to this rural retreat so you can get the most out of your stay. The drive from West London takes approximately two hours and forty-five minutes.

Where to Eat & Drink

The Racehorse is the village local, a welcoming community pub with a great selection of craft beers and pub classics. Get there on foot via the quiet country lanes, or hop in the car and be there in just two minutes.

The Anchor in Walberswick offers brilliant food and a child-friendly beer garden, with an annual Oyster Festival each August promising a particular highlight.

The Queen’s Head in Blyford is a picture-perfect little village pub overlooking an old church. Sit in the beer garden or relax by the fire, depending on the season.

The King’s Head in Brooke is known and loved for its roasts, and works with only fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients.

The Wildebeest in Stoke Holy Cross offers an astonishing variety of food and a great-value Plat du Jour.

Pinch is an area-favourite that’s beloved for its farm-to-table pastries; a cafe on a country farm known for its regenerative farming.

Enjoy a tasting experience at Flint Vineyard, known for its selection of English wines. Take a guided tour through the vineyard, learning about the winemaking process, and tasting various wine selections paired with local snacks. 

Head to Thorington Theatre, an open-air theatre located in a woodland setting that puts on plays, comedy, and live music. 

Have a go at kayaking and paddleboarding Suffolk’s picturesque waterways at Three Rivers Pitch and Paddle.

Explore Suffolk’s beautiful countryside on horseback, with various riding schools and stables offering lessons for all experience levels. There are trails through forests, fields, and coastal paths, making it a peaceful and enjoyable way to connect with nature. 

Enjoy a tranquil boat tour, where you can explore Suffolk’s various waterways, including rivers and coastal routes. 

Get your green fingers with a hands-on flower-arranging workshop at The Southwold Flower Company, taking home a beautiful bouquet at the end.
