A one bedroom honey-hued hideaway in the pretty town of Stow-on-the-Wold with original features, stylish interiors and a fun, quirky layout. The Nook is perfect for couples looking for a romantic escape in the Cotswolds, with plenty of country pubs, restaurants and walks within reach. Lovingly restored by its owners using natural, locally sourced and recycled materials, The Nook blends classic British country style with urban-industrial chic.

Ground Floor

On the ground floor you’ll find an open-plan farmhouse-style kitchen and sitting room, equipped with everything you need for hunkering down in your cosy Cotswolds hideaway. The sofa pulls out into a bed sleeping up to two children or one adult (on request). You’ll have to seek out the separate dining room, tucked away and hidden behind a secret door. The wet room style bathroom consists of stone walls, industrial fittings and a walk-in rainfall shower. There’s underfloor heating throughout for added luxury.

First Floor

Climb the open-flight stairs to the bespoke steel and glass walkway above, where you’ll find an overhead mezzanine bedroom in the eaves and a giant cloud-like bed awaiting you.

Outside

At the front of the cottage, there’s a private gravelled garden terrace with an idyllic table and chairs set up, perfect for enjoying morning coffees in the sunshine.

Dogs are not allowed at this property.

How To Get There

The nearest train station is Kingham or Moreton-in-Marsh (10 minutes drive). We recommend booking a taxi in advance if arriving by train as they aren’t usually readily available.

Parking

There is no parking on-site but there is plenty of free roadside parking nearby if needed.

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in is from 4pm and check out is by 10am.

– Just around the corner, The Old Butchers is a firm favourite serving up delicious seafood dishes and more.
– Pick up your morning coffee at Stow Coffee opposite who roast their own coffee, or The Hive do a brilliant breakfast.
– Grab a bite to eat at the oldest inn in the world, The Porch Houseor pick up lunch on the go at Cotswolds Baguettes.
The Wild Rabbit in Kingham is worth booking in advance, or check out The Plough for something a little more laid back.
– Celebrating something special? The tasting menus at the nearby Feathered Nest Country Inn are always a winner.
