Overview

A striking two bedroom apartment inside a traditional Georgian building with carefully curated interiors inspired by the owner’s Zimbabwean heritage. Within a prime location, nestled in between the bustling city centre of Bristol and the leafy crescents of Clifton, Imba has plenty of independent shops, restaurants and picture houses within walking distance.

First Floor

‘Imba’ translates to ‘the house’ in Shona, and there’s no denying the way in which this Bristolian pad instantly makes you feel relaxed and at home. The framework of traditional features, from high ceilings with Georgian roses and ornate coving to large sash windows with wooden panelled shutters, provide the perfect backdrop for displaying all the unique and decorative treasures you’ll find within. Expect walls lined with colourful artworks and woven hangings, globe lantern lights bobbing from the ceilings and jute rugs dotted with ceramic statement pieces lining the wooden floorboards.

The terracotta-tiled kitchen has everything you need for rustling up feasts for nights in, and the spacious living room consists of a sofa, smart TV, feature fireplace, dining for up to six people and a perfectly positioned reading nook. The master bedroom has a ridiculously comfy king-size bed with treasure chest bedside tables and its own private balcony, with a white wrought iron table and chairs set for catching the morning rays. We love the second twin bedroom with its rattan bed frames, playful wall hangings and egg-shell blue walls. The family bathroom has a walk in rainfall shower and a basin that sits upon an antique wooden cabinet.

Outside

There’s a shared garden at the back of the property, so you can soak up the West Country sun on balmy afternoons after a day of exploring.

About Bristol

Often voted as one of the happiest places to live in the UK, Bristol has a relaxed pace of life that stands it apart from other cities. Its vibrant art and music scene, surge of exciting new restaurants and charming independent cinemas, won’t leave you short of things to do and see. Sitting on the cusp of sleepy Somerset countryside and only a 15-minute train ride away from Bath, there’s also plenty more to explore further afield.

Imba’s prime location, nestled in between the busting city centre and leafy Clifton crescents, plus only a short stroll from Gloucester Road (the longest stretch of independent shops in the UK), makes it perfect for exploring all the unique pockets of Bristolian life.

How to get there

Bristol has two mainline railway stations: Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway. Both are well connected with regularly running direct trains from London.

From Bristol Temple Meads, you can take a 10-minute taxi to Imba, or hop on the inner-city line to Redland Station; a 10-minute stroll from the property.

Parking

Travelling by car? There’s a parking space for 1 car at the rear of the property, with more roadside parking available if required.

Check-in & Check-out

Kindly note that check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am.
