Overview
Hidden away in the Shropshire Hills, The Parlour is an escape for those who want to do just that – escape from the day to day and really, truly get back to nature. Sitting at the end of a winding drive that takes you through a field of friendly cows, it’s a place to switch off, slow down, and connect with your surroundings.
Brimming with character thanks to the exposed beams, homely touches, and endless country views, it hosts up to four guests in two warm, welcoming bedrooms. There’s a cosy living space, a beautiful garden complete with a wildflower meadow, and the pièce de résistance – an outdoor William Holland tub from which to watch the stars.
Kitchen, Living & Dining Areas
At the heart of the property sits an open-plan kitchen and living room, a perfect set up for slow mornings and long evenings spending time together, cooking, and soaking up the views. In the summer, throw open the door to the endless rolling views. Come winter, light the log burner and hunker down. The picture window is a standout feature, enhancing the views and offering the perfect spot to sit and read, paint, or simply soak it all in.
The Bedrooms & Bathrooms
There are two lovely bedrooms at The Parlour, one on the ground floor and one upstairs. Both super kings that can be turned into twins on request, they sleep four guests comfortably. The downstairs room is next to a modern shower room, while the upstairs room sits opposite the main bathroom, complete with rolltop bath and sweeping views across the countryside.
Outside
Stepping into the garden at The Parlour feels like stepping into an endless expanse of countryside. Rolling hills stretch as far as the eye can see, with cows and sheep meandering by. Outdoor furniture peppers the patio, where you can sit and soak it all in, while the vibrant meadow of wildflowers adds a colourful backdrop. Then, best of all, there’s a William Holland copper bathtub (with running hot water), where your evening bath can take on a whole new level.
