Warm timber panelling, natural textures and a crackling wood-burning stove give the cabin an inviting, cocooning feel, creating a cosy base to return to after a day exploring. The open-plan living, kitchen and dining space is thoughtfully designed, with everything you need for relaxed days spent indoors.

The Bedrooms & Bathroom

On the same level, you’ll find two bedrooms – one double room and one twin room. Both continue the cabin’s pared-back, natural aesthetic, with natural finishes echoing the surrounding landscape. Both offer a calm and practical space to retreat to at the end of the day. Next door to the bedrooms, you’ll find a family bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Outside

There are twenty-five acres of wild woodland, waterfalls and moorland to explore, with winding paths, a hidden kids’ den, fire pit and decks overlooking the loch. Spot otters, herons and owls, or hire a kayak to take to the water. A place for both wild adventure and quiet escape.

And then there’s the rainforest. Yes, really. A rare fragment of Ancient Celtic Rainforest lies within the grounds – one of the UK’s most precious habitats – which the owners are carefully restoring, giving this magical pocket of Scotland an even wilder lease of life.

Children

Families are very welcome, with a secret kids’ den to discover and plenty of wild space to explore. As the grounds are natural and untamed, children should be supervised. A cot and highchair are available on request.

Dogs

One dog is also welcome for a fee of £50, with washing stations, bowls and towels provided for muddy paws and post-adventure swims.
