Step through a honeyed stone archway just off the iconic, sloping Burford High Street and discover the charming Bear Court Cottage. A three-bedroom Cotswold hideaway sleeping up to six guests that has been tastefully renovated by its owners – who also own an interior design studio next door. Warm, inviting farmhouse-style interiors, natural hues and raw materials set the tone, with a characterful nod to Danish design, but it’s the location of this escape that really comes up trumps – quietly hidden yet perfectly placed.

Kitchen, Living & Dining Areas

Expect a generous living space with plenty of character, from original overhead beams to a log burner for slower evenings in. The kitchen and dining area offer a modern farmhouse feel, with a sociable kitchen island and a built-in dining bench – fully-equipped and made for easy, self-catered living in the Cotswolds.

The Bedrooms & Bathrooms

There are three lovely bedrooms. Two on the first floor: one double and one twin bedroom designed for kids. There is a family bathroom with shower over bath next to the twin room, and the double room has its own en-suite shower room.

Upstairs, tucked into the eaves, the master bedroom feels like a quiet retreat, complete with its own bathtub, walk-in wardrobe and separate en-suite shower room. All of the bathrooms are stocked with The White Company bathroom products.

Outside

The private courtyard garden is made for warmer days, with an outdoor dining area, a tabletop gas fire pit, and a Green Egg BBQ. Tucked away and quietly secluded, it feels like a little oasis of its own.

Welcome Hamper

A welcome hamper filled with local eggs, milk, bread, butter, and a bottle of wine will be waiting for you on arrival.

Bear Court Cottage does not accept dogs.
