Overview

Sitting in the quintessential Cotswolds town of Stow-on-the-Wold, surrounded by idyllic countryside and more gastropubs than you can shake a stick at, The Collector’s House has everything you need for a bucolic British break. With three beautiful bedrooms, this honey-hued home is perfect for families or group getaways.

Lovingly restored by its owners, and dotted with hidden treasures and antique finds from their travels, the interiors at The Collector’s House tell a story. You can expect to find anything from striking miscellaneous objects and unusual trinkets to pressed botanical prints and apothecary cabinets. This is a luxury Cotswolds retreat with buckets of charm and character.

Ground Floor

The open-plan farmhouse-style kitchen and dining room are equipped with everything you need for whipping up delicious dinners and Sunday breakfasts. Hunker down in the cosy sitting room and sink into the taupe linen sofa in front of a crackling fire, or enjoy one of the board games left out for guests. Expect original exposed beams on a backdrop of buttery neutrals, open-brick walls and flagstone floors throughout.

First Floor

Climb the old spiral staircase to the further two floors, where you’ll find three unique bedrooms and a dedicated workspace complete with a writing desk, built-in window seats and a rattan rocking chair. Here you can find wooden panelled floors throughout, enveloped with a mismatch of jute and aztec rugs.

The master bedroom has a super-king size bed, the second a king-size and the third is set up in the eaves as a single but can be made into twins on request. All the beds are dressed in chic off-white and French grey linens. We love the stylish light fixtures, from the emerald-green scalloped reading light to the hanging bobbin lamps. The family bathroom has a roll top bath and separate shower.

Outside

At the back of the house you’ll find a private garden with a large fire pit and an undercover outdoor dining set up complete with a BBQ and festoon lights – perfect for summer soirees or wrapped up winter nights.

Dogs

Dogs aren’t allowed at this property so pooches should be left at home.

Larger group? Book alongside neighbouring property, The Nook.
