Overview
When you think of the Cotswolds, the first things that spring to mind are probably honey-hued stone, wonky wooden beams, hidden nooks and crannies, and an abundance of character. The Byre, the newest addition to the Sand & Stone portfolio, has all of the above – in spades. Tucked away in the always-popular village of Chipping Campden, it’s the quintessential countryside escape.
Kitchen, Living & Dining Areas
The open-plan living and dining room is the pièce de résistance of The Byre, with an ornate spiral staircase taking centre stage. Either side, you have a large dining table – ideally suited to home-cooked group feasts – and a comfy sofa and armchair for downtime. Mismatched but perfectly complimentary furnishings create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, while the cavernous stone fireplace sets you up nicely for cosy winter stays.
The airy kitchen continues the neutral colour palette with wooden cabinets and tiled flooring. Crittall-style double doors lead out to the side patio, letting the light stream in on sunny days.
The Bedrooms & Bathrooms
Three double bedrooms sleep six guests comfortably, each one a serene setting to relax on your escape. Think muted tones, stone walls, vintage-style wallpaper, and wooden beams.
Rich green tiling defines the main shower room upstairs, while downstairs plays host to an additional cloakroom and loo.
Outside
A verdant front patio bursts to life in spring and summer, making it a dreamy setting for al-fresco meals throughout the day.
Dogs
Please note dogs are not permitted at The Byre.
