THREE PERFECT DAYS

We love putting together a good itinerary at Sand & Stone – exploring new destinations, finding the hidden gems, and uncovering the local favourites you won’t want to miss. And we’re not here to gatekeep. After all, we believe that the very best stays combine flawless properties with the adventures, experiences, and stories that bring a place to life, and that’s something we’re more than happy to share with our guests.

ST IVES

A perfect day in St Ives, with Black Moon as your base. (Although, if we’re honest, this might be slightly ambitious for just one day. So, consider this your excuse to stay for the whole weekend.)

Start with breakfast at Crowst, before wandering through the beautiful Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. Pick up takeaway oysters from Brine and head down to Porthminster Beach for a few hours by the sea.

As evening arrives, stop by St Eia for amazing wine, followed by ice cream at Palais Provisions, then finish at Harbour View House, because there are very few things better than ending the day overlooking St Ives harbour.

Then head back to Black Moon, hidden within the rocks, and fall asleep to the sound of the waves below. Plus, the sunrise here is pretty special too – and definitely worth the early wake-up call.

SOMERSET

A perfect day in Somerset (for us anyway!)

Start the morning with coffee and pastries at At The Chapel, before heading to Shepton Flea for a spot of treasure hunting (trust us, this one is not to be missed).

Then make your way to Hauser & Wirth to explore the galleries and gardens and have a browse around The Farm Shop. Next up, it’s a cider tasting at Perry’s Cider. You’re in Somerset after all.

Then, head back to your escape for a little downtime before finishing the day with a bottle of Somerset wine and sunset views at Wraxall Vineyard. Good food, great countryside, and plenty of reasons to stay for an extra night.

FOWEY

A perfect day in Fowey, Cornwall.

Start with breakfast at your escape, soaking up the sea views before wandering into town to explore Fowey’s independent shops and galleries. Make your way down to the harbour and, just around the corner, you’ll find a Sand & Stone favourite for lunch: North Street Kitchen.

Stop by Ruby’s for an ice cream, then spend the afternoon at Readymoney Cove. Hire a paddleboard or kayak, take a swim, or, for the ultimate day out, rent a boat and explore the coastline from the water.

As evening arrives, wander back through town, stopping at a local pub along the way before picking up pizzas from Bufala, just moments from your front door.

Head back to your home from home, Silver Rock, open a bottle of something cold, play a few games, and watch the sun set over the water.
